As a Marine Corps Veteran entrepreneur, I never would have known how the skills I learned in the military would apply in the world of business.
My first experience was learning sales in the wedding industry working for DJ Connection. After studying companies like Disney & Zappos, and the team at Simon Sinek, I learned the power of a team having a clear vision and a company culture that is contagious. By applying sales strategies from books like the Ultimate Sales Machine, I helped launch operations the 5 cities across the country.
Next, I became a Sales & Leadership Coach with Southwestern Consulting. In less than 3 years, I was coaching more than 30 salespeople and sales managers 1-on-1, across more than 15 industries, and helping them increase sales anywhere from 20-300%.
Finally, I have spent the last 5 years dedicated to serving those who served, volunteering my time helping Veteran entrepreneur organizations like Bunker Labs. I have been helping Veterans and their spouses grow and scale businesses, and inspiring others to do the same. I continue to serve the community in several other ways, including serving as the Volunteer State Coordinator for Global Entrepreneurship Week.
Along the way, I have offered coaching and consulting to organizations of all shapes and sizes, struggled with hiring, operations, retention, sales, marketing campaigns that miss the mark, training, lack of systems, and more. Many have spent thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars looking for the magic anecdote that would lead them to success.
The number one thing most organizations were missing, is a clearly defined Strategic Plan, and more so a plan to execute.
